Contracting

Contracting has been a part of Lightning Creek Gold Corp from the very beginning. Mineral exploration and mine development are expensive activities, and frequently are executed in sprints with long periods of inactivity between. We believe that it makes the most sense to develop a team in-house, and then share that expertise with other exploration companies through contracting.

We provide a full suite of exploration services, including Claim Staking, Soil Sampling, Channel Sampling, Geologic Mapping, 3D Model Development, Diamond Drilling, Core Cutting, Core Logging, Core Sampling, and finally Sample Submittal and Database Services.

We take our client's need for accurate information very seriously. Our Core Values are:

1) Honesty
We will always accurately represent the truth in our reporting. Our Drill Shift Report does not get reviewed or edited after it is submitted by our drillers. If a driller makes a mistake , like air-mailing a tube, it goes on the DSR and the client knows about it.

2) Fair Compensation
We know that cash is hard to come by, whether it was generated from mining or investment, and its is important that is be spent wisely. Our business model is not to make a fortune from contracting; we want to profit lightly, keep our employees busy, and keep our clients happy. And when we have a drill program ready to go then we have the expertise to execute that program in house and inexpensively.

3) Hard Work
Diamond drilling is difficult work. Long hours frequently in non-ideal conditions. We hire quality people who thrive in this environment.

4) Quality People
We only hire people we believe share our core values. We expect the truth from our employees exactly as we know the truth is expected from us. All of our employees are local to North Idaho, and most of them were associated with each other before coming to work for us. We pride ourselves on how our employees represent us to the both our client and the public.

Lightning Creek Gold has been diamond drilling since 2020, beginning with a Shaw backpack drill and moving up to an Odyssey Fluid Power Drill, which combines 1000 feet of NQ depth capacity with ATV mobility. We pioneered our own above ground re-circulating mud system and invented the Forest Service Notice of Intent drilling, which we did both 2021 and 2022.

We have contract drilled in multiple other states, most recently at a low-sulfidation epithermal gold mine in Montana that has never been successfully diamond drilled before. We were able to achieve record core recovery using good techniques and the expertise of our drillers. This job was very difficult as no water source was provided by the client, and the permit restricted us to hauling 500 gallons of water at a time up the mountain. We overcame these obstacles and delivered the diamond core to the client.

We are currently seeking an underground drill contract in the Silver Valley. We have an option to purchase a brand new Hagby DE-130, and our drillers have significant underground experience, working in mines like Stillwater and Kensington. We can start drilling as soon as October!

At our warehouse in Post Falls we can log, cut, and sample diamond core.

Our geotechnicians are experts and collecting soil samples, hammering out channel samples with impact hammers, and staking mining claims.
